DAILY INFORMATION SESSIONS AND TOURS
The Office of Undergraduate Admission Special Programs offers a variety of ways to get to know Georgia Tech through campus visits. Listed below are the information sessions and campus tours that are held on a regular basis.
All sessions begin in the Bill Moore Student Success Center and follow each other in a timely sequence. Guest should attend all of the sessions in which they have interest. We encourage prospective students to register in advance by visiting www.visits.gatech.edu/register .
Daily information sessions and tours are offered weekdays during normal business hours. Information sessions and tours are not offered on the following campus observed holidays:
- Tuesday, January 1, 2008 - New Year's Day Observed
- Monday, January 21, 2008 - M. L. K. Jr. National Holiday
- Monday, May 26, 2008 - Memorial Day
- Friday, July 4, 2008 - Independence Day
- Monday, September 1, 2008 - Labor Day
- Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28, 2008 - Thanksgiving Break
- Monday - Friday, December 22 - December 26, 2008 - Winter Break
Admission Information Sessions
This session is designed to give high school or potential transfer students an introduction to Georgia Tech. The Admission Information Session is conducted by a counselor from the Office of Undergraduate Admission who discusses the admission process, Georgia Tech rankings in various fields, undergraduate research, work programs, and campus activities and student life. The session also provides an opportunity to ask any general questions a student may have about the Institute.
Admission Information Sessions are held at 10 AM and 1 PM Monday through Friday in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, except holidays. The sessions typically last one hour and are followed by a campus tour.
Campus Tours
A current Georgia Tech student leads a group of students and parents on a 75-90 minute walk around campus. Tour groups are able to see campus common areas such as the Student Center as well as typical classrooms, the library, and a dorm room. Some of the highlights include the Campus Recreation Center and Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Campus tours are held at 11 AM and 2 PM Monday through Friday, except holidays. As our tour is a walking tour, comfortable shoes are advised. In case of inclement weather, it is best to be prepared with rain gear as we tour rain or shine For students and guests with physical handicaps or injuries who are unable to participate in a walking tour, other arrangements can be made ahead of time by calling our office. Tours begin and end in the Bill Moore Student Success Center.

Engineering Information Sessions
Geared towards the prospective students looking to join the College of Engineering, this session is led by a current undergraduate engineering student. The student discusses core classes required for all engineering majors, co-op opportunities, various types of engineering, and job prospects.
The Engineering Information Session is held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:30 PM in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, except holidays. The session lasts about 30 minutes.
College of Computing Information Sessions
What does it mean to be one of only two major Research I universities in the nation to house a College of Computing? Join us for this information session that shows how Georgia Tech's computing research links to a multitude of areas that include biology, math, engineering, psychology, education, video games, graphic design, aging, law, medicine, art, fire fighter training, AIDS research, and much more. Presented by a CoC student, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about the eight undergraduate specialization areas, undergraduate research opportunities with faculty, careers, programs to attract and support much needed women and minority students into this field, and tailored student services within the College of Computing.
The College of Computing Information Session is held on Mondays at 3:30 PM in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, except holidays. The session typically lasts an hour.
College of Management Tours
The new home of the College of Management at Technology Square is the physical manifestation of a vision for the future-making the College one of the best technologically focused business schools in the nation. The new location is a natural setting for exploring synergies between management and technology. This new building will allow the College to fulfill its mission of excellence in the functional areas of business and respond to important and timely issues on Georgia Tech's agenda-issues like technology entrepreneurship and commercialization, management of change and innovation, financial performance and analysis, managing the extended value chain, and enterprise globalization. The College of Management offers 30-minute tours of the building on Mondays from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. Tours will include information about the undergraduate management program and review the numerous opportunities and resources available to undergraduate management students.
Although reservations for the tour are not required, the College of Management prefers that guests sign up for the tour by sending an email indicating how many guests will attend. The tour begins in Suite 322 in the College of Management Building. Please click here to email us.
Transfer Information Session
Specifically designed for prospective transfer students, this session is led by one of the transfer admission counselors. Both students who have already applied and those who have not yet applied are welcome and encouraged to attend this session in order to meet personally with a counselor and review specifics, including requirements and transfer credits.
