Admission for undergraduate students

Directions and Parking

Driving south on I-75/85 into Atlanta:

For events taking place in the Admission Office/ Bill Moore Student Success Center, please follow these instructions to the Visitor 1 parking:

  • Take Exit #249D (North Avenue). At the top of the exit ramp, turn right onto North Ave. and continue on North Ave. approximately 1.5 blocks through the traffic light at Techwood Drive. On the left you will see a large parking lot. Parking will be available in the Visitor 1 lot. Simply pull to the Visitor 1 gate (on the left once inside the lot) and take a ticket. Parking is at your own expense and typically costs $1.50 per hour. See the GT Campus Parking Map.

For events taking place in the Smithgall Student Services Building, Student Center, or Ferst Theater, please follow these instructions to our Visitor 2 and 3 parking lots:

  • Take Exit #249D (North Avenue). At the top of the exit ramp, turn right onto North Avenue. Cross Techwood Drive (the first light) and continue on North Avenue to Cherry Street and make a right. Make a left onto Ferst Drive. Follow Ferst to Visitor Parking Area 3, the first right after the Student Center Parking Deck Area 2. See the GT Campus Parking Map.

Driving north on I-75/85 into Atlanta:

For Events taking place in the Admission Office/ Bill Moore Student Success Center, please follow these instructions to the Visitor 1 parking:

  • Take Exit #249D (Spring Street, West Peachtree Street). At the top of the exit ramp, go through the first intersection (Spring Street). At the next intersection (West Peachtree), turn left. Continue on West Peachtree for approximately one block and turn left onto North Avenue. Cross over the interstate and Techwood Drive. On the left you will see a large parking lot. Parking will be available in the Visitor 1 lot. Simply pull to the Visitor 1 gate (on the left once inside the lot) and take a ticket. For events taking place in the Smithgall Student Services Building, Student Center, or Ferst Theater, please follow these instructions to our Visitor 2 and 3 parking lots:

  • Take Exit #249D (Spring Street, West Peachtree Street). At the top of the exit ramp, go through the first intersection (Spring Street). At the next intersection (West Peachtree), turn left. Continue on West Peachtree for approximately one block and turn left onto North Avenue. Cross over the interstate and Techwood Drive. Continue on North Avenue approximately two blocks to Cherry Street. Turn right onto Cherry Street. Go to the stop sign and turn left onto Ferst Drive. Go down Ferst Drive past the Student Center parking lot on the right. Park in Visitor 3 just past the Student Center Visitor Lot (on your right), or return to the Student Center lot (Visitor 2) if Visitor 3 is full. See the GT Campus Parking Map.

Arriving at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport:

Arriving at the Bill Moore Student Success Center by Cab: Take a cab to the corner of North Avenue and Fowler Street 190 North Ave. NW (just west of the intersection of North Avenue and Techwood Drive). Cab fare is approximately $30. Cross North Avenue using the crosswalk at the street level. Ascend the stairs under the archway and take an immediate right. Follow the path to the Student Success Center.

Arriving at the Student Center/ Ferst Theater/ Student Services Building by Cab: Take a cab to 353 Ferst Drive. The Student Center is a good reference point for cab drivers. Cab fare is approximately $30.

MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority):

If you are going to the Bill Moore Student Success Center, trains take you from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport baggage claim to the North Avenue station. It is a 20-minute ride. Walk three blocks west on North Avenue to campus. Fare is $2 one way, and exact change is required (change machines are available at MARTA stations). At the intersection of North Avenue and Fowler Street, (just past our football stadium) ascend the stairs under the archway and take an immediate right. Follow the path to the Success Center which will be on your right.

If going to the Student Center/ Ferst Theater/ Student Services Building, Trains take you from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport baggage claim to the Midtown/ 10th Street/ Georgia Tech station. It is a 25-30-minute ride. Exit the station and catch a GT Trolley to campus. Remain on the Trolley until the Campus Recreation Center stop (across from our Campus Recreation Center) Fare is $2 one way, and exact change is required (change machines are available at MARTA stations). Once you exit the Trolley, head east on the sidewalk leading away from the Campus Recreation Center/ Health Center. The sidewalk will arrive in front of the Ferst Theater. The Student Services Building will be on your right, and the Student Center straight ahead.

Parking 

Parking on campus is available in a number of paid visitor lots. The cost of parking is $1.50 per hour or $10 per day.  Overnight parking is not available except for families participating in our overnight events. Parking for most of our visitation programs taking place in the Admission Office/ Bill Moore Student Success Center will be in the Visitor Area 1 parking lot on North Avenue marked in green on our campus parking map. Parking for events taking place at the Student Center and Ferst Theater is typically offered in the Visitor Areas 2 and 3 lots also marked in green on our campus parking map .  If you are attending a special program, please see your program specific confirmation information and directions for the appropriate parking lot.

GPS Address

The GPS address for the Bill Moore Student Success Center is 190 North Ave. NW Atlanta, GA 30332. [Note that the NW is extremely important;entering simply the street will result in a different location away from our campus.]  When you arrive at this address you will be on North Ave. The Visitor 1 parking lot will be on the south side of the street, and the Bill Moore Student Success Center will be on the north side of the street.
